Friday, January 7th, 2005Work on the outside of the house is nearly complete. We have rebuilt all the historic fascia boards and trim. We are putting a coat of primer on all of the untreated wood to ensure water proofing.

Fort Vancouver was no more, as sunshine and blue skies were in the forecast. Here’s the most recent picture of our new Vancouver office. 

This is our new cedar roofing.
Fort Vancouver came down today. We will have dry weather for a few days so we will finish up the roof and gutters this week.

We took off this square dormer. It didn’t match the rest of the house and we think it looks much beter like this

FORT VANCOUVER: We need to keep everything as dry as possible while the roof was exposed.
This is the original roof pattern. We found this during the roof tear off.
This is our new entrance on the Daniels Street side of the house. This is a temporary door and the new door will be our ADA entrance.
We cut out all the dead wood from the front oak trees. We also cut back the holly trees to open up the back parking area.
